Alice was a young woman who had no food and no money. She had been looking for work for weeks, but she couldn't find anything. She was starting to lose hope.
One day, Alice was walking through the park when she saw an old woman sitting on a bench. The old woman was eating a sandwich. Alice's stomach growled. She was so hungry.
The old woman looked up at Alice and smiled. "Are you hungry, child?" she asked.
Alice nodded shyly.
"Well, come and have a sandwich with me," the old woman said. Alice sat down next to the old woman and they ate together. When they were finished, the old woman gave Alice a bag of food.
"This should help you for a few days," the old woman said. "And don't give up hope. You will find work eventually."
Alice thanked the old woman and went home. She ate the food and felt much better. The next day, she went out looking for work again.
This time, Alice was lucky. She found a job as a waitress in a small cafe. She wasn't making much money, but it was enough to buy food and pay her rent.
Alice worked hard and saved her money. Eventually, she was able to open her own cafe. She was a successful businesswoman and she never forgot the kindness of the old woman who had helped her when she was down.
